I just came across this article which I believe is of numismatic interest. The U.S. Court of Appeals has ruled that since all paper money feels pretty much the same, the government is denying blind people meaningful access to currency. This may result in the Treasury Department making bills of different sizes, printing them with raised markings or other distinguishing features. apparently, this case has been going on for six years now.
