i just signed on to this relatively new site over the weekend, and now i'm obsessed!
iKollect.com is a free site which allows you to catalog and inventory your coin collcetion. you add the description, dates, minymarks, etc, and it will even value the coin for you and keep a running tally of your collections total worth, making it ideal for insurance purposes.
spending all this time adding in my coins has renewed my interest in my U.S. collection (which i have neglected for years).
www.ikollect.com/
there is also a 'generic collection' option so you can catalog anything else you might collect, from figurines to LP records to stamps to baseball cards to autographs to comic books to... well, you get the idea. : )
anyway, i just wanted to pass this along. happy hunting!

Re: iKollect, anyone?
Mon, December 3, 2007 - 10:31 PMUhh... the headaches involved with inventory control and the lack of monthly income are the main reasons I got 'uninterested' in the hobby.
I actually liquidated a bunch of surpluss stuff, and used the money for other things.
I've found it's much more satisfying to trade precious metals in the spot market.

Re: iKollect, anyone?
Wed, December 5, 2007 - 10:57 AMhummm... it's working for me.
in fact i have the values for everything i've loaded so far, although i have to say that the 'iKollect Average' seems about 15% high, imo.
but i've found Numismedia.com to be very helpful as well, although values for anything over MS-60 is by subscription only...
